To relax or exercise, the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Community Pool (Decarie) welcomes you for free swim sessions. Enjoy amenities such as showers, drinking fountains, toilets, and changing rooms.

  • Reservation: To secure your spot, please ensure that you make a reservation on the City of Montreal’s website at least 48 hours before the start of the free swim period.
  • Children Supervision: For children aged 5 and under, as well as children aged 6 to 7, please note that they must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian aged 16 or older. Additionally, each parent is responsible for supervising their children around the pool.

Welcome to the pool! To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for everyone, please familiarize yourself with the pool rules:

1. Pool Access: No one can use the pool unless it is open and lifeguards are on site.

2. Hygiene: Before entering the swimming pool, you must take a shower.

3. Appropriate Attire: Swimwear is mandatory in the water and around the pool.

4. Footwear: Shoes, street sandals, and boots are not permitted on the pool deck.

5. Diapers: For public hygiene reasons, standard nappies cannot be worn in the swimming pool.

6. Age Restrictions: Children are not accepted in the free swims for adults.

7. Children’s Accompaniment: Children 7 years and under must be accompanied by a person aged 16 and over. *A responsible person is considered anyone aged 16 and older. Proof of age may be requested. Children are under the full responsibility of the guides. The responsible person must accompany their children within reach at all times in the water and out of the water. They must, therefore, wear a compliant swimsuit.

8. Admission Refusal: Admission to the pool will be refused for the following reasons: intoxication, open wounds, skin infections, and discharges from the nose or ears. Any circumstances that, in the judgment of the pool supervisor, could endanger the safety of users.

9. Behavior: We have a zero-tolerance policy against disrespectful or violent behavior.

10. Family Changing Room: Access to the family changing room is reserved for children aged 7 and under, as well as people with reduced mobility.

11. Authority of Staff: The on-site supervisor or lifeguard has the authority to enforce these rules and may expel any member who does not follow these rules.

12. Swim Cap: Wearing a swim cap is not mandatory.

13. Object Responsibility: The center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We strongly recommend leaving your valuables at home or bringing a good padlock.
